With heavy hearts, the family of Edith Preston announces her passing on January 21st, 2020 at Pineview Lodge.
Edith was born in Saskatoon on July 11th, 1923. She married George Preston on October 3rd, 1940. After the war, George and Edith moved to the Co-op Farm, 17 miles east of Carrot River. Papikwan was home until their retirement when they moved to Aylsham. They then moved back to Carrot River and Edith moved to Pineview in 2016.
Grandma loved gardening, growing flowers, especially her rose bushes and pansies, and knitting wool socks and mittens for everyone.
Her family was her focus. She loved watching them grow up and achieving their goals. Nothing brought more joy than seeing "the little ones" as she called them.
She loved baking and you knew when you got there, your favorites would be waiting.
She was predeceased by her parents, Sydney and Margaret Row, her husband George, her son Richard, and daughter Carol Stewart, her grandsons Ken Preston, Rory Gray, and Donny Stewart, her siblings Ken Row and Margaret Meyers.
She is survived by her daughter Betty (Richard) and daughter in law Margaret Preston. Grandchildren: Sherri Stewart, Bill (Shirley) Stewart, David (Teresa) Stewart, Bradley (Gwen) Preston, Joy (Chris) Preston, Glen (Tammy) Gray, Tracey (Kelly) Jackson. Great Grandchildren: Matt (Susan) Stewart, Kali Stewart (Len), Mason (Melissa) Stewart, Casey Preston, Mackenzie Stewart, Paige Stewart (Logan Mills), Cailen and Marli Stewart, Travis and Alyssa Gray, Eric Gray, Emily, Makayla and Grayden Jackson. Great great grandchildren: Ethan and Logan Stewart, Cheyanne Schmidt, Allie and Callum Stewart and numerous nieces and nephews.
