Basil was born December 13, 1927 at Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, the youngest of nine children born to Ethel Elizabeth and Robert George Flowerday, who immigrated from England in 1913. Basil along with his Father and brother Fred farmed the land Basil lived on all but three months of his life. He continued to farm after the death of his parents and brother. His wish was to remain in his own home and his wish was granted....spending only 6 days in hospital passing away August 28th. What more could he ask for.
Basil was predeceased by his parents, sisters and brothers-in-law: Marjorie & Reuben Wenzel, Frances & Syd Hendrickson, Lillian & Jim Scriven, Don Mackie, brothers: Robert, Fred and Lloyd Flowerday, nieces: Joanne Mackie Mann, Sylvia Hendrickson Mayert, Marlene Flowerday and nephews: Ken Hendrickson and Dennis Flowerday.
He is survived by his very special friend Lorna Anderson, sisters Ethel (Evert)
Van Adrichem and Nellie Mackie and sister-in-law Ann Flowerday, eleven nieces and ten nephews and their families.
