Elizabeth Ethel Machula was born in Arden, Ontario, fourth child to John and Ethel Palmateer. She took her schooling in Arden and then moved to Kingston and worked for 2 years.
Elizabeth took her nursing course at Kingston General Hospital and graduated in 1950. She loved her work and nursed in numerous locations in Ontario including Barrie, London, Hearst and Atikokum.
Elizabeth met and married Steve and their marriage was blessed with four sons- Stephen, Greg, Martin and Brad. In April 1963 the family moved to Nipawin when Steve bought the Case dealership there.
Elizabeth had a firm belief in God our Creator and passed it on to her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elizabeth worked in the Nipawin Union Hospital for six years, retiring in 1979 to spent time with her family and especially her grandchildren who were her life.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her infant son Kevin, husband Steve and son Martin.
She leaves to treasure her memory her sons: Stephen (Sheila),
Gregory (Connie), and Bradley (Brenda), daughter in law Valerie, grandchildren: Christine, Mark, Sabrina, Stephen, Addison and Avery, great grandchildren: Nolan, Jordyn and Mayson and numerous other relatives and friends.
