Larry was born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan on August 8, 1940. He was the first son of Margaret and Lawrence Chisholm. He grew up on the Torch River and attended school at Rivers End and White Fox.
Larry left home at a very young age and joined the Army and was stationed in Victoria, British Columbia. While in the Army Larry met Marlene Young and they were married August 19, 1961. Together they had four children: Rick, Mike, Gerry and Tina.
After leaving the Army, Larry worked on a weather ship for a few years and then at a saw mill. In 1973, he returned to Saskatchewan, doing construction and saw mill work in the Carrot River and Nipawin area until his retirement.
Larry had a passion for old cars and music. He enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, playing instruments and having a few drinks.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Lawrence Chisholm, sisters, Sharon Campbell, Val Hedman, Louise Collison, brothers, Ron, Rocky and Dwight, brothers-in-law, Gary Brisbin (Jeanne), Delles Anderson (Sharon), Hugh Campbell (Sharon), Ivor Hedman (Val), sister-in-law, Hilda Chisholm (Rocky) and nephew, Randy Brisbin.
Larry was often thought of by his children: Rick (Wes), Mike & Ann, Gerry & Paula, Tina & Frank, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Jeanne, and numerous family members.
