Hilda Anne Dorion was born in Cumberland House Saskatchewan on July 18, 1944 to Felix and Eliza Fosseneuve. Hilda passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospitalin Prince Albert on April 9, 2019 surrounded by her family .Hilda completed her grade 11 at the Charlebois School in Cumberland House. She then married Solomon Dorion, who remained her loyal companion to the end.
Hilda worked as a postal worker, a cashier at the Hudson Bay Company and a janitor with her husband for many years. She was a homemaker. Family was very important to her and she was compassionate to all. Hilda was a teacher of traditional values eg fishing trapping along with bannock making and cooking. She was a community leader respected by family and friends.
Hilda is survived by her sons Dallas Dorion Sr.(Norma), Derek Dorion, HenryDorion(Wanda), Randy Dorion(Ethel) and daughter MaryPacey and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who were very special to her.
Hilda was predeceased by her husband Solomon Dorion, sisters Margaret Sewap, Judy Cook, Lucy Foss, brothers Peter Foss and Leonard Foss, Sister in laws Martha Dorion, Abigail Dorion and Eliza McKay along with her special nephew Maurice Fosseneuve.
The family would especially like to thank the nurses at the Cumberland House Health Centre as well as the nurses at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert for the wonderful Care given to their mom. Also a special thank you to anyone they may have missed as there are so many.
