Helen Epp (Buhler) was born July 16, 1927 to Peter and Justina (Braun) Buhler at Aberdeen, the fourth of twelve children.
She passed away peacefully February 15, 2021 at the Carrot River Care Home.
Helen moved to the Carrot River area with her parents where her dad owned and operated a sawmill.
Helen married Jacob Epp November 9, 1947. She followed her husband to various farms and then they moved to Carrot River in 1973, where Helen worked in the Carrot River Hospital for many years.
Their son Peter was born December 17, 1948 and daughter Katherina was born February 28, 1950.
Helen always had a huge garden and worked hard at preserving all the bounty. There were always lots of chores on the farm, milking cows, and taking meals out to harvesters. She loved her family at Meachem’s farm. Helen enjoyed her grandchildren, baking bread and cookies. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, in Paraguay, South America, ten of her siblings and her husband Jacob.
Left to mourn are her brother Danial (Mary) Buhler of South America, sister Anna (Herman) Dueck of South America, her son Peter (Yolanda) Epp of Craig, Colorado, grandson Jair (Holly) Epp, Neo and Liam, granddaughter Angie (Jerry) Wooden, Grady and Brody, grandson Jason Epp and John Anderson, her daughter Kathy (Phil) Klassen of Slave Lake, Alberta, granddaughter Karen (Tim) Knull , Beth, Eric and Zachary, grandson Kevin (Jennifer) Klassen. Also left to mourn are numerous nieces, nephews, brothers in law, sisters in law and cousins.
