It is with profound sadness that the family of Evelyn Stensrud announce her peaceful passing on February 22, 2023, at the age of 92 years in the Nipawin hospital. Evelyn was raised on the family farm north of Choiceland and after marriage resided in Choiceland until her move to the North Haven Care Home in Smeaton seven years ago.  

Evelyn was active on the farm, a tomboy that loved riding horseback and playing softball in her younger years. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother that helped to raise her grandchildren with love. Evelyn volunteered tirelessly in the community her entire life and was devoted to her parents and husband in their final years of need.   

She will lovingly be remembered by her daughter Carolyn (David) Weger, son Larry (Colleen) Stensrud; her grandchildren Dustin (Christina) Weger, Jessica (Gilbert) LaClare, Danielle (Lee) Tatlow, and Kelsey Stensrud (Aaron King).  Great Grandchildren; Juliette & Thomas, Ensley & Alyvia, Carys & Everett, and Tori.

Evelyn also leaves behind her loving brother Lloyd (Ann) Fedelleck and sister Audrey Robertson, and many nieces and nephews. 

Mom was predeceased by her husband Mike (Canute) Stensrud and infant daughter Debbie; her sister Joy Adelman & husband Arnie; her parents Edna & Henry Fedelleck; Brother-in-laws Bob Robertson, Olaf, Hans, and Allan Stensrud, and; Sister-in-laws; Ivy Houde, Eleanor & Emily Stensrud.
