- Shaun Russell Gillert passed away suddenly on June 15, 2022. Taken too soon, he will be remembered as a good man with a genuinely kind soul. Shaun was born in Nipawin, SK to proud parents Allie and Russell. Growing up in Uranium City and Nipawin led to many experiences in the outdoors, which is something he proudly shared with his family throughout his life. Shaun was an outdoorsman. He loved taking time to camp, fish, and hunt, making many wonderful memories with friends and family. His training as an Instrumentation Mechanic took him across western Canada, but also allowed him to travel half-way across the world. Shaun's ability to strike up a conversation and tell a story meant that he made a lot of friends, leaving behind wonderful memories for many. Shaun loved his family and was happy to be living back in Nipawin and working closer to home the last couple years. Shaun was always willing to help anyone in any way he could; he was a strong support for many and will be deeply missed by us all.
