Peter D. Epp was born December 14, 1934 in Carrot River, Saskatchewan. He passed away September 2, 2021 in hospital in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.
Peter was baptized May 20, 1956. Pete married Edith Miller July 21, 1957. Pete and Edith lived on the family farm and had two children John and Edith.
Pete farmed with his Dad then later took the farming over. He also was a mechanic for Jim Doherty at Carrot River Implements for numerous years. After his Dad passed away Pete only farmed .He enjoyed his time tinkering on his machinery. Not sure why John Deere never needs any work!
After retiring from farming there was still a few people that needed his helping hand. Neighbors or friends from surrounding area would call him to bale. His neighbor Allan would call him to fix something mechanical at their farm. He enjoyed helping everyone out or maybe it was the visit.
Pete lived on the farm up until fall 2019 after Edith had her stroke and went into long term care. Pete moved not far from where Edith was so he could go and visit her every day. He also moved closer to his sister Sadie. His plans were maybe she would cook for him.....well that did not work out to plan.
Pete kept in very close contact to his family in B.C. Keeping in touch very important to him.
Pete was predeceased his wife Edith, parents Johann and Katherina Epp, his sisters Katherina Buhler (Jake), Elizabeth Buhler(Jake), Mary Penner(Peter), Margaret Wiens(Ben) ,Agatha Derksen, brother Jacob Epp(Helen),bother-in-law's John Wiens, Don Wilson, Donald Miller and Ken Miller
