Edward was born on a farm near Esk, Saskatchewan on July 14th, 1935 to Joseph and Lydia Kiehn. His family moved to the Torch River area when he was about three years old.
Edward married Ruth Nowlin on November 4th, 1961. They had two children Cindy and Wayne. They spent all their married years living in the Torch River, Moose Run District.
Around the age of 13 Edward discovered his interest in hunting and trapping. He also enjoyed farming, working at the family sawmill and driving CAT brush cutting. He worked for others at a sawmill, logging and fighting forest fire. He enjoyed many aspects of the outdoors including gardening, fishing and camping. Spending time with family was also very important to him.
Edward is survived by his wife Ruth (Nowlin) Kiehn, daughter Cindy (Jim) Paquette and their children Bradley, Christie and Stacy, son Wayne (Laverne) Kiehn and their children Mitchel (Chey), Taylor and Rendalyn, brother Ferdinand (Linda) Kiehn, sister-in-law Kathy Kiehn, brother-in-law Larry Nowlin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Edward is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Lydia Kiehn, infant sister Lillian Kiehn, brother Daniel Kiehn, grandson Curtis Paquette, mother and father-in-law Oakley and Grace Nowlin.
