Mom was born June 12, 1927 in Saskatoon, SK and was raised in the Aylsham District where she went to Red Wood School.Mom went back to work in Saskatoon where she worked in a seniors home. She married Roy Barros November 29, 1945 and moved to the family farm at Carlea.
Mom spent the next 40 years on the farm, taking time to curl, garden and raise her family. She was a member of Carlea Ladies Club and Silver Stream Fair.
She and Dad moved to Nipawin in 1982 when Allan and Janet took over the farm. In Nipawin Mom joined the Seniors Quilting Guild, the Royal Purple, the Legion and she and Dad delivered Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her daughter Judy (Jon) Dyck of Edmonton, son Mel (Bonnie) of Edmonton and son Allan (Janet) of Carlea. Grandchildren – Jody Bobinski (Jeff) of St. Albert, Jordan Dyck (Alisha) of Kennebunk, Maine, Michelle Bureaud (Mike) of Edmonton, Richard Barros (Jody) of Edmonton, Clinton Barros of Carlea and Kristin Harrower (Ryan) of Nipawin. When Mom passed away she had eight great grandchildren – Anna, Grace, Brianne, Dylan, Clarissa, Cameron, Leo and Elliot.
