• Benjamin Douglas Nowlin was born in Nipawin on May 9th, 1991 to Douglas Nowlin and Tracey Woods. As a baby Benjamin was most happy when he wasn’t sleeping, his infectious smile and playful demeanor kept everyone around him entertained. As he grew up it was never a dull moment, from his constant shenanigans and pranks to teasing and tormenting his younger brothers. Benjamin’s light hearted character could not cloud his inherit protective nature.

After graduation, Benjamin moved to Regina (2011) and started his career in the trades. He dabbled in construction, painting, and pretty much anything you could do with your hands, but eventually found his true calling in sandblasting, which you could never stop him from talking about. In 2020 he moved home; for which he said was to be closer to his family, but we all knew he was home sick and hated the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Benjamin from a young age was an old soul; he threw himself into learning everything history related, his obsession started at the age of 5 with dinosaurs and developed in anything war related, and boy would he tell you about it … no matter how much you tried to change the subject. From his suspenders to his leather working hobby, he was our little old man through and through.

Benjamin loved everything outdoors and never turned down a new adventure. In his free time you could find him exploring new scenery, quading with his dad, or simply camping or hiking out under the stars.

Ben would always stop to talk or to give a helping a hand, he loved to help his dad and step dad fixings things, but more often than not, he was the one to break it. No matter what he was doing he would always end up covered in dirt or paint from head to toe.

When Tracey was pregnant with Benjamin she worked at Taco Time and could not get enough of the spicy food and ice cream, these cravings would follow Ben throughout his life. He loved sharing his creations with anyone who would sample them.

Ben from a young age would never turn down a dance party, especially if his mom turned on Shania Twain. This would be the same time that Benjamina – the Ballerina was born and would remain.

    Dance fearlessly Benjamin.
