John Kusniak was born August 21, 1935 in Elpinstone, Manitoba, passing from this life March 8, 2020 in time to make it for “Happy Hour” in Heaven.
John owned various businesses in Regina, Arborfield and Nipawin, where he formed many lasting friendships and cherished memories. He loved spending time at the cabin at Little Bear Lake, enjoying the company of the many friends he and Evelyn made there. John had an “open door policy”; you would remember arriving, but not always remember leaving.
His family was his focus point in life, from the time his children were born to adulthood, loving each one unconditionally.
John was an avid fisherman, loved quading, sledding, hunting and the great outdoors. He was always up to go for a drive to check things out. If there was time for a quick game of 31, Kaiser or liars dice you could bet John was in.
During his last days, John told us, “I’ve lived a good life’.
John was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Tena, brother Edward, brother-in-law Clarence Long, parents-in-law Rudolph and Helen Hiske and brothers-in-law Edward Hiske and George Peacock.
John will be deeply missed by his wife Evelyn of 59 years, children Carol (Kelly), Darrell (Yadira) and Lori (Darren), grandchildren Cherie (Jason), Amber, Brandon,Corey, Nicole and Justin, two great grandsons Garrett
and Hudson, sisters Martha (Ed), Marion (Sid), brother Peter, sister-in-law Emily Peacock, brother-in-law Wilfred (Karen) Hiske and numerous nieces and nephews.
“We loved you every day and now we miss you every day”
